I wouldn’t be telling the truth if I didn’t preface this by saying that there were times when we hated Caramel Cream. First, she had a low germination rate. Then, as a mere seedling, she was irresistible to caterpillars. The hours we spent on our hands and knees plucking those little green b*stards off the cotyledon with spotlights strapped to our foreheads are enough alone to never grow it again. When we harvested, she was by far the lowest producer of the crop.

But then she spent a week in the drying room and we snipped off the sugar leaves and there she was. It was like that nerd in that movie when she takes off her glasses and there she is, Prom Queen. Caramel Cream is sweet and clean, perfect for mornings and family dinners, especially around the holdiays.
