Every week or so we’d walk through the crop and do an overview. Who needed more water? Who didn’t like the August heat? Who couldn’t handle back-to-back hurricanes? And every time we would stop at the last row and ask, who’s looking the best? The answer to that question changed weekly, sometimes it changed daily. But each week, Pineapple Muffin was our runner-up.
